Absolutely ecstatic this week to announce that three of our fringe pieces are now available online at Urban Outfitters. 2015 is certainly off to a roaring start, and we could not be more humbled and proud of the growth of Crafts and Love last year, and already in the first month and a half of this year. I've barely had time to change the calender on the wall (literally, just took the 2014 calendar down today), and I've already produced more of some styles this year than all of last year combined -- it's crazy and so exciting.
Urban now carries a neutral palette of our June necklace, as well as all our remaining Driftwood necklaces, so hop over and snag one before they are gone -- the large brass cut-out was a vintage find, so there will never be more made quite like those. And finally, our popular Rose fringe necklace rounds out this lovely trio of vintage fringe pieces available at UO. We are so humbled, excited, and still feel a bit surreal that our creations are available at one of our favorite retailers. I guess this means I can go ahead and chalk up all the hours spent online browsing their site as 'market research', right? Right. Cheers to a fun year, y'all!
Zooey Magazine is one of those reads I look forward to every week. They always feature incredibly talented ladies and couple it with gorgeous photography and an interesting interview - a triple threat if you ask me! This week's feature with Lyndie Greenwood of 'Sleepy Hollow' is no exception, and I was so pumped to see a few C&L pieces on Lyndie!
We can't believe it's almost Thanksgiving, and what better way to celebrate one of the most fun and relaxing holidays (well maybe it's only relaxing when you're not the one doing the majority of the cooking), then a little holiday recipe? The Granny Girls shared their fun and simple recipe for caramel popcorn with Zooey Magazine today and sported some stunning outfits as well as Crafts and Love.
The beautiful Alyson Stoner wore Crafts and Love in this awesome web editorial for Zooey Magazine! Our first celebrity siting! I adore the first picture with the Torta necklace from our new Florence Collection, and the rest of the photos are simply stunning. You may recognize this flower crown in the second photo from our Florence lookbook shoot, which is also made by a sweet friend here in Atlanta, Flower Crown Society. We have a fun collaboration with them in the works that I am excited to share as well. Which look is your favorite?
This week, I have been such a giddy little business owner, as I feel like my little baby is growing up into a big girl! Weird analogy? Anyway, if you follow C&L on Instagram, you were with me when I got my favorite email of the year -- any inquiry from Atlanta Magazine to use C&L pieces for an upcoming spread! Needless to say, I have been waiting for the day that the October issue of Atlanta Magazine hit the shelves (my husband is probably so over listening to me count down the days). I'm so proud to have two pieces, the Rio Earrings and Latitude Necklace on display along with the other gorgeous, local jewelry that is inspired by nature.
After being a customer at the Indie Craft Experience (ICE) for years and admiring all the gorgeous indie (and of course, clever) crafts, I was so excited to be a vendor at this Summer's show. I remember wandering through Centennial Park in Atlanta back when ICE began over 5 years ago, and dreaming of having a strong enough brand to be able to show at such a widely-attended event. Now this bi-annual show takes place in Ambient Plus Studio, a bit off the beaten path in Atlanta, but so worth it. Ambient Studio is Atlanta's only daylight photography studio, and it's window-covered brick walls made the perfect venue for an indie craft show.
Needless to say, having my 6ft table at ICE in June was a dream come true! I adored every second of that weekend, and am so thankful to have met so many amazing vendors and customers from all over the country. I can't wait to be back, both as a customer and vendor.
Not only did I sell lots of goodies, but brought home many treasures as well. Some of my favorites were these precious tiny gold-framed prints from Brenna Giessen. They look perfect on my C&L storage wall!
Many of the other goodies I brought home after a wonderful weekend -- the incredibly well-designed KooRoo KooRoo toys, Yo Soy Candles (Cucumber Wasabi is my favorite scent!), Clue Town Books scavenger hunt of Piedmont Park, Burrowing Home print and temporary tattoos, and Native Bear tea towel.
Another lovely surprise was being featured on the Atlanta fashion blog, You've Been Noted, as one of their favorite vendors from ICE! P.S. - you know it's a good craft show, when your husband stays for the entire show, for two full days!
