Using raw gemstones in designs continues to inspire me to slow down, enjoy imperfections, and to appreciate the beauty that nature offers. The amethyst on our Eliza necklace has always been one of my favorite components to use in designs, as well as to source from suppliers. Every batch I find is always way different than the last -- sometimes the stones are flat and almost white, while others are very chunky and dark purple. I even had one chunky stone in my last batch that had a polka-dot top -- it was hard not to move that one into my own closet. In the land of electroplated and faux stones, it is so nice to slip on one of these raw gemstones and enjoy natural beauty while you go about your day. And! Amethyst is a calming stone, so wearing this stone will undoubtedly lead to a chill day sipping mimosas (well, I wish!).
The lovely Kelsey Lee of Alma Antigua was recently featured on The Village wearing her Eliza necklace she picked up at Young Blood Boutique, one of our favorite local stockists in Atlanta. I love how she complimented the purple stone with gorgeous red and natural hues. Check out the entire perfectly autumn shoot here, captured by the talented Allison Youngblood of Friend of the Wind.
